Ashoka American Express Bootcamp
The Bootcamp brings together 20 young social innovators from across the country for a two-day intensive program of learning, mentorship, networking and growth. The camp itself is taking place on June 25th and June 26th at CSI Annex. |

Lived it LectureThe lived it lecture format consists of a 45 minute lecture, with some time for Q&A at the end. The talk is meant to be about the speakers past experiences, successes and failures with regards to being an entrepreneur and starting their business. There is no specific topic for the lecture, just a story on what being an entrepreneur has been like.

The Counselling Foundation hosted its 10th Annual Cannexus Conference. With over 700 delegates, the conference is Canada's largest for career counsellors and practitioners. I had the pleasure of hosting a lunch session focused on the Future of the 21st Century Work Place. It was a hands on affair; the document to the left was the presentation and the document on the right gave attendees the opportunity to built a presentation live on the internet

Volunteer Manitoba’s 9th annual Funders Forum will focus on how non-profit organizations can maximize their fundraising capacity. During the course of the morning, participants will have the opportunity to hear directly from funders on how to go about applying for funding, what types of projects they fund, and tips on how to create a successful funding proposal. |

With approximately 50 students in the room, we explored the following questions: Think of a cause that is important to you. How is this cause being addressed by society? By whom in society is addressing the issue? How can we address this issue in a more effective or productive way? What can you, as an individual, do? What resources might be available to address this problem that are currently underused or overlooked? What assumptions does society make about the problem that may be flawed or no longer true? |

The Suncor Foundation is gathering a number of their stakeholders for a national conference. A portion of the agenda is exploring the concept of 'unusual suspects', and how is it reflective of system we are working in.
This illustration below will be used to describe why our team 'loves' sharing space with the technology company The Working Group. We do entirely different things, but our values are 100% lined up. #Sharesies.
